Art Talk - Tarin Iris Hughes

Tuesday, November 2, 2010

7:00pm

Art History & its Influence on Contemporary Practice Emerging writer and curator Tarin Iris Hughes will undertake an examination of contemporary practice and how it has been informed both directly and indirectly by historical art. This theme has been of ongoing interest to Hughes, since the completion of her Honours Undergraduate Thesis in 2009 at the University of Waterloo. Through the eyes of Canadian artists she will investigate how historical perspectives have been interspersed and transformed into current visual concepts.

This series is generously sponsored by Brenda Fuhrman.
